Marie's Story
My name is Marie Fofanah-Conteh and I was born in Moyamba Village, Tonkolili District, Sierra Leone, West Africa. I am the first out of 10 girls to our papa/dad. I came to the United States of America in 1987, and went to Nursing School here in the US, graduating from Shenandoah University for my RN, BSN Degree in 2003.
I'm married with adult children and grandchildren. I'm a Professional Registered Nurse, CEO, NursePreneur, Nurse Educator, Author and #1 Best Seller on Amazon, Financial Literacy Educator, Self-Care Advocate, and Hope Ambassador.
While pursuing my Nursing Degree, I asked my professor how she viewed Nursing and Entrepreneurship. To my amazement, she said: "I have never seen a Rich Nurse and if that is your dream, I am sorry to tell you that you're in the wrong field."
I thanked her for being honest with me, but deep inside my heart, I was disappointed and completely discouraged. I never gave up searching for options in life.
I'm grateful and thankful to my Almighty God to say that today I'm the founder and CEO of Prosperity Home Health, LLC, Allied Health Institute, Prosperity Partners International, Nurse Connect Magazine, Forever Friends and Sisters Support Group, Future Children International (501C-3) and Diamond Girls International.
